What you will learn and how it works

Basic self-care – postural stances and movement flow to prevent fatigue and repetitive strain injury; sore lower back, shoulders and thumbs. Table adjustments and tools.

Basic massage techniques– modification of standard massage techniques that work in conjunction with self-care postural stances and movement flow. Techniques are demonstrated on a model by the trainer and then practised by the student under observation with guidance provided when required.

Advanced massage techniques – learn deep pressure techniques to locate and provide relief for knotted muscles. Deep pressure, as distinct from deep tissue, is undertaken slowly to prevent pain for clients and avoid strain injuries or fatigue for the practitioner.

Requirements – industry experience or entry level training to Cert IV or equivalent.

What you get

Tailored to your needs – every aspect of the training can be modified.

Therapists with extensive training and/or many years of experience may prefer to demonstrate their technique/style under observation with feedback and suggestions for improvements provided during or after the session.

The training session can be videoed for later reference. You will need to arrange a tripod or cameraman.

All other equipment and materials supplied.

Requirements – you will need to arrange a model to practise on.

$300 – 3 hrs

ADDITIONAL MOBILE SERVICE FEES AND/OR ROOM HIRE (IF REQUIRED).
SESSIONs usually GO FOR 3 HOURS.but can be charged by the hour.

Demonstration Massage

To understand what training is available employers and sole traders are eligible for a 50% discount on any massage that goes for 2 or more hours.

Send me in as a secret shopper to get a massage from one of your staff and for $250 you will receive a complete analysis of every aspect of your business operations from a consumers’ perspective. 

Includes suggestions for establishing procedures for continuous improvements that encourages feedback from clients that will help improve your marketing, service delivery and customer satisfaction. 

You will be provided with a written report similar to an RACV vehicle road-worthy certificate.
